In this day and age, it seems like we are constantly bombarded with things that we should care about. Things that we need to address, donate, support, fight for, change, represent… the list goes on and on. It is exhausting, and one of the main reasons that I have cut down, or cut out a lot of the habitual social media and news browsing.

Wait, I hear you saying it already… “But what about *insert issue*?”… “So, are you saying you don’t support *insert another issue*”?. I hear it all the time, and the world doesn’t work in black and white like a lot of people want it to. Invariably, most, if not all of life comes in shades of grey.
And, although I thoroughly believe everyone should stand up for their own personal beliefs, I also think it is absolutlely impossible to give a crap about everything, every minute of every day.
There, I said it… Most of the time, I just don’t give a shit. It has taken me a long time and a lot of soul-searching to finally realise that this is absolutely ok. It does not make you a bad person for not caring, it means that you have a realistic view of what you can handle at any given moment.

In an age when the world is more connected than ever, and we can receive information in an instant, information overload is a very real thing. It is something that is still relatively new to us as humans when for aeons we have only known about our immediate needs. Take some time to adjust and take care of yourself first… It is absolutely ok to not care about everything!
